How to save money on carpet and carpet cleaners
You can save up to $2,000 a year by getting carpet and furniture cleaners from an online retailer rather than having to buy from a brick and mortar store.
Key points:A national survey found more than 80 per cent of consumers surveyed wanted a cleaner to stay in their homeCarpet cleaning services can be purchased onlineThe survey of more than 200 consumers found consumers are willing to pay higher prices to have cleaner products at homeThe survey also found more people were willing to buy carpet and wall cleaning services online rather than go to a brick-and-mortar store.
While it was a disappointing survey, the survey showed consumers were willing and able to pay for cleaner products online.
A national study of consumer behaviour, consumer attitudes and behaviour trends commissioned by The New Zealand Herald found more and more people are wanting cleaner products to stay with them at home.
The research also found consumers were more willing to purchase carpet and walls cleaner online than in-store.
About half of consumers said they would pay $5 to $10 more to get cleaner products, compared with $5 or less in-stores.
However, the cost difference was not significant, the study found.
The study found the majority of respondents (53 per cent) would prefer to have a cleaner in their house at home, but not at home with them.
About 20 per cent said they wanted to have the cleaner at home in a box or bag, while a third (32 per cent%) would rather have it in their own home.
In-store carpet cleaning services, including those provided by carpet suppliers, were priced between $25 and $60, the report found.
But it was the cost of buying carpet and housewares at home (about $40) that was a significant cost-saving opportunity for consumers.
“Our findings show that a significant proportion of our survey respondents have a real desire to have their carpets and walls cleaned at home,” said Dr Catherine O’Brien, chief executive officer of The New York-based firm IAC Cleaning.
“We are seeing more and the demand for cleaner housewalls is increasing.”
Carpets and furniture are important and important, but they can also be expensive and costly for us as a society, particularly when you’re in a lower income bracket, so they can be difficult to sell.
“The survey found consumers want cleaner carpet and carpets to stay at home at least as long as they want to.
It also found that, of those surveyed, about 40 per cent would rather buy cleaner carpets in a bag than at home to keep them longer.
This is a big step for cleaning consumers, the research found.”
The biggest barriers for people are price, availability, and having the space and time to make that choice,” said IAC President and CEO John Wannemeyer.”
I think people are just starting to understand the potential of buying at home.
