New Teslas are more affordable for US shoppers
More than 30% of all US consumers buy their groceries online, and they’re willing to pay a premium to save money.
But there’s one part of the equation that has been under-reported: the price of Teslas.
While most of the country’s top-of-the-line cars are priced in the thousands, the best Teslas come in the hundreds.
And the Teslas that cost $80,000 to $120,000 in 2015 were the ones that sold for the most.
The average Teslas now cost $35,000 or less to buy, according to the company.
And it’s not just the cars themselves that are getting more affordable.
Prices for some accessories are going up too.
A few years ago, a Teslas with a 16-inch touchscreen and $2,500 price tag could be had for around $80K.
Today, the price is around $60K.
And you can get a good deal on a few of the Tesla models that have gone the way of the Porsche 918 Spyder, too.
The US is getting better at offering great value for its money.
For instance, the cost of a Lexus ES 350 is almost double what it was two years ago.
But that’s mostly because the car’s pricing has dropped by 20% over that same period.
And a lot of those price drops have been in luxury cars, like the BMW 7 Series or Audi A4.
In the US, most cars are driven by people with jobs that involve heavy driving and driving.
That means they’re more expensive for many people, and those costs make a lot more sense when compared to cars driven by someone who isn’t working.
But as our friends at The Verge have pointed out, the average car buyer in the US is going to be able to save even more by purchasing a Tesla in the future.
And in many parts of the world, the Tesla Model S has already been selling better than the average new car.
